Painting camp at Vargamäe on 26 July from 11.00 to 18.00. Beautiful Vargamäe landscapes, a sense of nuance, and a dialogue between art and literature. Come and learn in the plein-air painting course how to mix the right colours of Estonia — literary soft and muted tones that can be found in descriptions of nature. Beginners will learn how to capture colour, frame a motif and create atmospheric perspective, while more experienced participants will learn how to conjure an entire palette of muted tones from six basic colours. We will paint outdoors on the grounds of the A. H. Tammsaare Museum. The instructor is freelance painter, illustrator and art teacher Eve Valper, who has led the continuing education plein-air painting course at the Tartu Higher School of Art. The camp fee of 100 euros includes acrylic paints and painting supplies, the instructor’s fee and lunch. Participants may bring their own favourite tools and brushes. More information by phone at 5340 3461, Tue–Sun 11.00–18.00. Registration: muuseum@vargamae.ee. Group size: 10 people. The course will take place once the group is full.
On 26 July we welcome art lovers to a plein-air painting course. The course is led by Eve Valper.
